NDT inspection

NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) is a method for examining the condition, integrity, and quality of structures, materials, and products without causing damage. It detects potential defects before they cause major problems.

NDT is an important part of thorough periodic inspections and quality assurance. It helps prevent fatigue damage, extends the equipment’s lifespan, and improves safety.

NDT methods can:

  • Examine material and structural integrity
  • Detect surface and deeper defects
  • Measure features that cannot be checked by traditional methods (e.g., wall thickness or paint thickness)

Common NDT methods include:

  • Visual inspection
  • Ultrasonic testing
  • Magnetic particle inspection
  • Penetrant testing
  • Industrial radiography

At Mobile Lift, we use magnetic particle inspection and penetrant testing, performed exclusively by certified NDT inspectors. This ensures your aerial work platform meets all safety and quality requirements—even after years of use.
