Before putting an aerial work platform into operation, it must be ensured that it is safe and operational. The commissioning inspection is typically performed after installing a new device or following significant modifications. Its purpose is to verify that the lift meets both technical and legal requirements. The inspection prevents operational risks and ensures the equipment functions according to the manufacturer’s instructions and official regulations.
The commissioning inspection is always carried out:
- before the first use of a new aerial work platform
- when the aerial work platform has been out of service for a long period
- after significant modifications
The commissioning inspection verifies:
- the equipment is safe to operate

- the intended use of the aerial work platfomr is considered
